ABOUT
NovoSolTech is a solar-powered structural application for windows, which generates electricity and heated air. The primary function of the system is to improve indoor air quality and comfort by decreasing infiltration, exfiltration, and heat transfer between indoors and outdoors, as well as filtering air and controlling solar heat gain. As a result, the NovoSolTech system decreases the energy expenditure of the residential and commercial buildings it is implemented in.

The embedded technology in NovoSolTech is conveniently operated through a mobile application that allows users to adjust and set preferences like fan speed and outlet air temperature, and also provides useful data like the amount of fresh air required in a space. HOW DOES IT WORK?
NovoSolTech is comprised of a housing system made from semi-transparent photovoltaic cell (solar panel) technology. It is installed on the exterior of a building, above and below the solar thermal windows to facilitate optimal solar energy collection.
The housing system utilizes this energy to generate heated air and electricity, which is transferred to the interior of the building through ports. The inner port collects indoor air into the system to gauge temperature, while the upper port uses a fan and filter to circulate, heat, and filter air back into the indoor space. Additionally, air circulation within the system decreases photovoltaic surface temperature, which helps to increase the efficiency of the panel to generate electricity.
